Record bumper harvest – well done members!

2022 wasn’t just a record breaker for temperatures in the UK, it was a record bumper harvest for Deal Hop Farm as well!

The heatwave and dry weather didn’t stop our members from picking a huge 308 kilos of hops, all from sites across the town. 55 kilos of fresh hops were rushed over to Time & Tide and brewed to make the Green Hop Pale Ale. The remainder were taken to our fantastic hop driers, who produced 70 kilos of dried hops for more beer to be brewed later this year and in 2023!

Thank you to all of our members for your efforts in producing such an abundance of hops! Especially those who braved the rain for picking, when it finally did arrive! We look forward to seeing as many of you at the upcoming Oktoberfest celebration.
